The best time to visit the camp is from October to March. However, the camp stays open throughout the year when it arranges elephant safaris for tourists to different parts of the jungle. It is not advisable to visit the camp during the rainy season as the jungle stays closed.

NJP to Dhupjhora Elephant Camp: Located at a distance of 64 kilometers which takes time of 1 hour and 48 minutes. Siliguri to Dhupjhora Elephant Camp: Located at a distance of 73 kilometers which takes time of 2 hours and 7 minutes.
