Known for having pleasant weather throughout the year, Dooars is best when visited in the winter season. Some visitors prefer visiting the town during the festive days to witness the colors, the excitement and the unity of the city. The monsoons usually are not preferred all the time. Summer season: March to June
- Temperature remains between 21°C and 32°C.
- Pleasant hours in the day but temperature rise in the afternoon
- It does not experience extreme summers
So, it is not the best time to visit for tourists! Monsoon season: July to September
- Receives rainfall between 36-47cm
- Due to the heavy rain, exploring and sightseeing becomes difficult
- Many sanctuaries and wildlife reserves remain closed
Since it is the off-season; you can visit Dooars if you love rains!
Winter season: October to February
- The lowest temperature could hit to 0°C, but it remains between 10°C and 23°C
- Teesta Tea and Tourism festival is celebrated in this season
- You can take part in numerous activities like outdoor, indoor or water sports
Hence, it is the best time to visit Dooars and this region turns into a delightful little winter paradise!
